This 2-story, 3,900 sf ground-up construction in the City of Hawthorne will serve as a new mixed-use industrial workshop, material storage, and office space. The project owners are skilled glass manufacturers and aspire to move their business to Hawthorne. Working closely with the owners, office42 is providing a custom window curtain system on the south facade to allow ample amounts of light into the workshop and office spaces. In addition, the building's exterior will serve as an opportunity for the owners to display their glass products and expertise. The front and side elevations have some exposed structure that reflect the industrial nature of the local area. This glass workshop provides an open floor plan that is both flexible and organized, so that spaces strategically overlap and work alongside the user's daily tasks.
