The Branden House is a home on a 5,208 sf. lot located in the hills of Echo Park, a residential community just South of the CA 2 highway. Our work on this corner property began with converting the crawl space at the formerly 666 sf one bedroom home into an ADU to be used as a guest quarter at the base-level of the home. We remodeled the second-floor entryway and interior spaces, adding two additional bedrooms to the main level. office42 architecture also added a 3rd floor to the main house with a living room, dining room, kitchen and powder room expanding the main house size to 2,000 sf. Our design team is also converting the garage space into a music studio. In the exterior spaces, we added Low-Impact Development planters to capture, filter, and infiltrate rain water runoff reducing flooding and pollution around the property.
